OctoML is an energetic new company changing how developers optimize and deploy machine learning models for their AI needs. We’re a team of machine learning systems leaders focused on making machine learning (ML) more efficient and easier to deploy by… applying machine learning to it!

OctoML was founded by the creators of Apache TVM, a popular open-source compiler that transforms ML models into highly-efficient binary code optimized for the specific hardware and model architecture. We are building the Octomizer, a cloud-based "TVM as a Service" product that enables developers to optimize and package their ML models through a modern web app as well as a rich API surface.

As lead recruiter, you will:

  • Design, implement and refine our overall recruiting strategy.
  • Source and attract candidates.
  • Screen candidates for open positions.
  • Collaborate with leads to proactively identify future recruiting needs.
  • Develop and update job descriptions and specifications.
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards.
  • Provide analytical recruiting reports for the rest of the HR team and leads.
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the hiring process.
  • Manage overall interview, selection and closing process.
  • Performance reference checks.
  • Promote OctoML's reputation as a great place to work.
  • Attend and participate in job fairs and recruiting sessions.

Our ideal lead recruiter candidate will have:

  • 5+ years experience in recruiting including management of multiple high-volume roles simultaneously.
  • Ability to conduct different types of interviews.
  • Understanding of engineering requirements in ML, Platform and Infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Human Resource Information Systems and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Strong decision making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of employment and hiring law and legislation.

Location: Onsite (post-pandemic) in Seattle, WA
